Wi-Fi coverage is not the same as Wi-Fi capacity.
A strong signal does not automatically mean a good wireless experience. Hotels, restaurants, offices and other high-density environments require consideration of user density, device behaviour, interference, access-point placement and network capacity.
Not every device belongs on the same network.
Guest devices, payment systems, business users and building equipment have different access requirements. Segmentation makes those boundaries part of the network design.
Connectivity should have a Plan B.
Failover is designed around the services that need to continue, the available connections and the behaviour of each application during an interruption.
Survey the space and its busiest moments.
A useful brief identifies construction materials, outdoor areas, expected concurrent devices and the applications people depend on. Guest browsing, voice calls and mobile ordering place different demands on the design. Review cabling routes, switch capacity and power requirements alongside wireless coverage, so the access points are supported by suitable infrastructure.
Verify the experience after installation.
Handover should include agreed checks in representative locations, using the devices and applications that matter to the business. Test staff and guest access separately, confirm required network boundaries and rehearse connection failure where failover is included. Keep a record of equipment, configuration ownership and how future changes will be approved.

Why is Wi-Fi slow when the signal looks strong?
Signal strength is only one part of the experience. Congestion, interference, uplink capacity and the number of active devices can all affect performance. Measurements and application-level checks help identify the actual bottleneck.
Can guests and business systems use the same infrastructure?
They can share managed infrastructure while using separate network segments and access policies. The design must explicitly control which services each group can reach; a different Wi-Fi name alone is not a complete security boundary.
Will a 4G or 5G backup keep every application running?
A secondary connection can restore internet access, but application sessions may need to reconnect. Coverage, data allowances and application behavior must be tested. Failover is planned around critical workflows rather than an assumption of uninterrupted service.
Can you improve an existing installation?
An assessment can identify whether the limiting factor is placement, configuration, cabling, switching or equipment. That evidence supports a targeted upgrade rather than assuming every access point needs replacement.
